Aerospace engineering is a niche engineering branch concerning the designing, functioning, production, construction and testing of air-crafts, satellites and spacecraft. What Specializations can you study?

Aerospace engineering has two major specialization options – Aeronautical Engineering and Astronautical Engineering. Salaries paid to aerospace engineers are higher due to the extensive scientific knowledge and expertise needed, along with the long hours and risk associated.

Bachelor’s course:

The graduate course in Aerospace engineering is a 4 year course and students with a background in chemistry, physics, and math, including algebra, trigonometry, and calculus are preferred. Subjects include aerodynamics basics, mechanics, general engineering principles, structure, propulsion and stability and control, and usually includes both theory and practical sessions.

There is huge demand for the engineers who are familiar with engineering tools and processes. Also, there is a great deal of scope for the engineers who have studied modeling, simulation and the most advanced robotics. The job opportunities for aerospace engineers are plenty in public, private and in government sectors. A few prominent recruiters include:
